Seems to be everytime I put the D3 in reverse the sensors give me a permanent noise and there's nothing there - reversed about 10 times today and 9 gave me the same resulting warning
Have cleaned them
Have switched the button on and off a few times
but still the same result
Have searched the forum and just checked that each one of them is "clicking" and they all are - not the most sensible test with SWMBO at the wheel and threatening to run me over !
Any ideas for next test or fix ?
Could be another request for TFC to venture into deepest Essex

You could try blanking each one off and seeing if the noise stopps , at least you will know which one is at fault .
Just put some bluetack / tape over each one in turn ..worth a try . Other than that , you need to get the fault codes read
Cant guarantee it would work , but thats what i would try if i didnt have a fault code reader .G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

How about disconnecting one at a time and trying ?
Tried blanking one of at a time and got an intermittent bleep rather than a constant one.
Will contact TFC to see if he's passing this way.

try 5 minutes on each one with a hosepipe - not jetwash - colud just be contamination disconnection or blanking won't work if a DTC is stored in the PDC module

You can diagnose them without a fault code reader...
They should all give off a 'clicking' noise. Whichever one is not clicking, swap it with one that is. If the original sensor still isnt clicking, the sensor is faulty. If the good sensor doesnt click in the place of the original one, you then have a wiring issue...My D3 Build Thread

the standard sensors are a known weak point, the same sensors are used in jaguars etc. there are aftermarket sensors which replace the LR ones, but retain the rest of the parking assist system.
I'll see if I can find some relevant information on it, I've definately replaced them in the past.

Be interested in this Dan as I currently have the same issue although it is very intermittent. Not as intermittent as the front ones though that appear to be permantly faulty.

I'll have some words with my suppliers and see if I can get a price etc.
Start D3 reverse from drive - sensors okay
Drive a few miles - reverse and they go permanent
Drive a short distance and they still work okay
Could be time for a bit of TFC
Iain - will reply to your email tonight but looks like I need you to make another trip to darkest Essex unless you can think of anything else I can do

I had the same problem.Disco went to dealers the culprit was a chrome tow ball cover !!! i didn't believe them at first so they took me through to the workshop as soon as they removed the tow ball cover the sensors functioned normally. Changed it for an Alko rubber cover problem went away. don't know if you have a tow-bar fitted but if you have this could be the culprit.
I have the removable and it hasn't been used recently so can't be that
Mt father in law had a permanent tow bar fitted and they fitted it incorrectly so the sensors went off every time !

I had an issue with the sensors on mine - turned out to be 2 broken wires on the right hand sensor, which I found by doing continuity checks with a multi-meter ...Regards,
