Fuel Filler Cap
Just been and filler up with fuel and noticed that when i've locked the Disco, i am still able to press and release the fuel filler cap door
Can anyone advise how i should go about checking what's caused this fault and how easy it is to fix !!
Any assistance you can offer, would be appreciated.
Regards
Andy

Are you pressing the lock on the remote twice? On my 08.5 RRS the 2nd press releases the fuel flap (and I think switches off the internalalarm movement sensor).
One press should lock and alarm, 2nd press turns off the movement sensor and releases the fuel flap.

No, my problem is the fuel filler cap, won't lock... It appears permantely unlocked !!
Tried single locking and double locking the car, doesn't seem to make any difference, can open
the fuel door - when the car is locked or unlocked ...
Any help would be a appreciated.

Mine's the same - the end of the locking pin has snapped off (sometime before I bought it).
If you open the flap and then try locking the car, you should see the pin moving out - at least I did for what was left of mine.I see no ships........

Mine did the same but it was just that the mechanism had been pulled out from inside. Reached in from o/s compartment (where the jack is) and plugged it all back in. Secure now. Worth a try...

As bigfatsi says but once you've put the cable end back in it's holder cable tie the outer cable to the body panel. Also spray the pin with WD40 or something better. There is a thread somewhere with pictures.
