Good day Gents and Ladies
HELP!! Having been a land rover fan for many years (have a defender V8 in SA) and a die hard for the “proper†land rovers, I made the fatal mistake of test driving the Disco 3 …… and so started the painful situation of my partner having to deal with a kiddie in a sweet shop every time we passed one on the road.
So we bought a second hand HSE and unfortunately within a week of getting her I noticed that it was difficult to get her into drive. It felt as though there was something stopping the shift from moving all the way rearwards. However by switching to sport mode I overcame the problem.
I then returned to work (am in Angola at the moment, and for you peeps that love to drive off road, this is the place to try it). My partner has emailed me in a panic that she can now not get it into drive at all, even sport mode is not working. Reverse is ok but motorists on the M25 get miffed considering that reversing at the legal speed limit is difficult.
So! After this long story what I am asking for is assistance in a possible diagnosis of the problem from you fellow landie drivers out there.
Thanks
