Poor re-mounting of dashboard |
|
I had my car serviced by the dealer to sort out an airbag problem recently. They had to dismantle the interior (the front part at least), but they did solve the problem.
But the car they returned as little to do with the car I left in the dealer. Now it rattles everywhere, it seems like an entire team of crickets has moved inside my disco!!
My question to those who have had their dashboard dismantled is if it is possible to return it to its previous condition, noise free or do I have to learn how to live with it???
Some of my friends have been telling me the solution is as simple as a louder volume on the radio.. but that is just not quite what I had in mind...

take it back and complain - and get them to do the job properly. A long while ago I had the same issue on a 300TDi Disco (heater matrix issue). The dealer had the dash in and out three times before it was back to how it started.
Dont just put up with it.
