Hi All, new to forums and would like some guidance.
Disco 3 TDV6 HSE Auto - Heavy steering at speed (>40mph), seems slightly heavier than normal at low speeds but can feel assistance. Just happened, not gradual. Have tried rapid movements full lock L to R to free possible air in system. Fluid level is correct.
Any ideas before venturing in to dealer or indie?
Am I looking at a big expensive job?
Thanks

Thanks for thought Simon, tyres less than 1000 miles all corners. Pressure all Ok.
When driving, it feels I am working against power steering!

Hi MC
The D3 has adaptive steering meaning the faster you go the heavier the steering gets. Its a safty thing the last thing you need is feather-lite steering at speed. If it is still heavy whilst manovering then I would take it back to the dealer. hope this helps "The fate of the wounded lies in the hands of the one who applys the first dressing"

Thanks Blaserman, this seems to be definatly over servoed... only benefit is biceps getting a workout.
I'm airing on the side on pump pressure or speed sensing. Any ideas on quick checks to confirm?
