I was wondering if anyone has ordered a Disco 4 Commercial or could tell me what way the factory prepared commercial is delivered. On this side of the pond, all commercial D3's come into the country as passenger vehicles. Then they are butchered to remove seats, block up and disable windows, and a flat steel floor installed with a carpet cover, then hey presto.... a commercial D3 is born. No D4's commercial or otherwise in Ireland just yet, with the exception of a demo or two. It is even hard to get a price list for a D4.
I was considering ordering a D4 XS Commercial with a few extras from a UK dealer, but was curious to know what way they come prepared as a factory commercial. i.e. are the rear windows covered with metal panels or are they left as tinted glass and functional, and what way are the floor, side panels and rear door cards prepared?
I would be glad of the info if anyone can help. CLUB ' Ah shor it'll be grand'

Ask Ken, he's got a factory prep'd D3 commercial. I doubt a D4 commercial differs much from a D3 commercial from the B-pillar back The End

It is also very likely that the commercial range is going to be merged to 1 model with option packs. IMO this slims the spec from what i wanted so i took the advice of Bodsy and spoke to Lakeland.

Thanks for the info Guys.
Having had a quote on a trade-in from the dealers I dont think I will be trading up to a D4 for a long time.
Shocking depreciation on used cars over here at the moment!..... My car will only be 1 year and 8 months old in January, and the stealers want to offer me less than 1/2 (and quite a bit less) of the new value of the car. Not sure if I feel or right now! Not Though!..... CLUB ' Ah shor it'll be grand'

I have ordered a D4 XS Commercial as a company vehicle through a Lex Auto Lease.
I have herd however that LR are not building Commercial D4s until January and therefore delivery is unlikely to be until March earliest. I am keeping my fingeres crossed that they will be so desperate to make the delivery they will just take a 3.0 XS of the line and convert it for me. No chance.
I had a D3 before and rear windows were covered by a tough plastic the rear door section could be easily removed but not so sure about the rear most side windows.
