I have a Tomtom 700 - thats works great
I recommend that you have an external ariel to improve sat reception as the heated windscreen degrades the signal.
If your brave enough you can pop the centre binaccle cover, surrounding the hifi, off and hide all the power and aerial wires up to the gap where the factory satnav would go - fits in lovely there.
There are some additional threads on here you might find useful - use the search above. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Yes the new variants are about to be released in the UK - I'm not sure that there aren't some buttons and a light sensor on the top of the new unit though that may restrict the ability to slot it in to the dash gap as with the older units. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I have a Garmin StreetPilot 2610, more bulky than a Tom Tom but very rugged and user friendly. Plus Garmin has been in the GPS business a long time and have great support. '06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

key thing is that i want to use the blue tooth hands free capability on the tom tom, both for my works and wifes phone. So that is a key selection criteria at the moment
