Rejected Vehicle

Oh man, what a sad day Big Cry My disco did it again last week, fault light re appeared and they were unable to sort it even after a new part was fitted.

Unfortunately had little option but to reject the vehicle for my own sanity!! Had to meet the regional sales manager as dealer principal was in Portugal, and what an absolute effin Censored Censored Censored

Owning a land rover is not just getting into a car and driving, it is the experience every time you climb into the car in my opinion, something that ass had no idea about!!

So I went into the meeting trying to see what other option there was as far as the next vehicles coming off the line to I tell you what, why don't you take your little smirk and my land rover and shove it so far up your own Censored that you taste co2 emmisions!

Talk about looking after a customer, 7 land rovers and it ends like this.......

Anyway, enough of the rant!! I now sit with the situation where I need to revisit the dealership tomorrow to sign off paperwork etc. but a huge concern is that there was mention of having to find out what the settlement would be from Land Rover finance. Surely that would not be correct? The sale is nul and void due to a faulty product? confused.com or am I in for yet another surprise.

Needless to say my opinion and views were severely tarnished today by someone that was obviously not in touch with customers.... very sad!!

Anyway, any advice or experience on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Marc

Just out of curiosity how long does a customer have to reject the car if it has problems ?

Not sure Pete, I have however had issues with mine since day 3 and the dealership have all the details there of the car been off the road so I seem to have had covered by bases in case this was to happen.

I think if you have had issues from day 1 and they are documented you have up to 6 months for items purchased in a shop etc. but not sure about vehicles.

Such a pain in the Censored though!!

If you are happy to take another new D4, the finance company should be able to swap out car for car with any admin charges covered by the dealer. Anything that you brought through the dealer such as extras should also be refunded.
 Current:
2014 RRS 3.0 HSE
Porsche 997 GT3
BMW 118d SE
Past:
D4 HSE 3.0 TDV6 Auto
D3 HSE 2.7 TDV6 Auto

You are buying the car from the finance company, not the dealer. You reject the car through them Thumbs Up
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Addicted is nearest the money - buy taking out the LR finance you are well protected. You are effectively buying a provision of a vehicle - they are not providing so they should swap. Hugely simplified - but I do know, my First D3 went back via the finance company and LR goodwill to make up the difference Thumbs Up

Make sure you ask the RM, who he reports to and who his boss reports to - so you can thank them all Whistle
