Is the £7K premium for an HSE over an XS worth it?
I'm looking at getting an XS or preferably and HSE, but after a trot through the price/options list I get the value of the differences between them to be around £6500! I thought you were meant to get options a bit cheaper if they were build into the trim level from the start?
Opinions? HSE a big waste of money? or value?
My heart says HSE. My head says XS.

XS is better value (all things being relative) and I doubt anyone other than a gizmo geek would be disappointed with an XS. Mind you - if you cant live without power seats - you will have to bite the bullet and buy the HSE.Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Any extras you add to an XS will make little difference on resale. So if you "spec-up" an XS you will be a lot worse off on resale compared to buying an HSE which will always have a higher value.
Look at the long term and enjoy the HSE extras along the way!Paul

in the end you will have been happier to have followed your heart
justify the additional expense by vowing to keep the the vehicle for 10 years
if you don't you will spend half your time justifying why the XS is just as good - won't ever stop you wanting an HSE everytime you see one !
I couldn't care less if you by an XS but I'll be right p***ed off and jealous when you get the HSEIllegitimi Non Carborundum

How often when following head have you looked back and thought I wish I'd done that/given that a go/etc? A lot more I'll wager than when following heart as you tend to look back with a more positive view even if it doesn't work out thinking at least I gave it a go/good while it lasted/etc
