I doubt this will help - but here goes....

The white line thing works on our D4 (with surround cameras) but it is neither use nor ornament IMHO. Those white lines give a very unclear impression of where the vehicle is heading relative to objects around the vehicle and could easily lead to accidents if trusted. Added to which, at this time of the year there is so much road dirt kicked up onto the rear view cameras that the picture on our is regularly even more unclear.

And at the risk of permanent deletion from your Xmas card list - those rear audio controls are fitted on our early D4 HSE - but I have no idea what they actually do. Kids in our car all use ipods, punch each other, torment the dog and occassionally (very) talk to each other / us. Where can you get headphones to fit the rear controls and does that really allow rear seat passengers to listen to something different from what the front seat folk have on (or dont have anything or using phone etc). Disco 4 TDV6HSE

I have the rear headphone sockets & controls in my D4 too. It isn't an early one, as was built to order and delivered last week.

It does have rear entertainment if that makes a difference?!?!? Wot's that in Old Money

Early D4s had the rear controls; they were deleted around beginning of September. You only get them now with the RSE option.

If they are anything like the D3...
- any headphone with standard jack can be plugged in
- rear seat passengers can choose to listen to radio, cd or aux input seperate from each other and front passengers.

I use them often to have my daughters listen to the music they like (dont ask) whilst I listen to the radio or make phone calls.
