It is, perhaps, unusual to be highlighting outstanding customer service from a dealer who you were not able to do a deal with.
However, I'd like to pay special tribute to James Tayler - even though we didn't close a deal on my D4 - for his willingness to step beyond the bounds of reasonable expectation with regard to customer service.
I myself would always, now, include Charles Hurst on my call list of prospective suppliers, and I would strongly suggest others to do the same. Forum members have benefitted from his advice and input, probably without knowing it ( ), and James regularly provides valuable input on the buying process here on the forum.
James - very many thanks for your help, even if you didn't benefit directly!

I resently did the deed with James, More than happy with Cost to change, trade in and overall service from CHPR and my sale guy Spencer.
And the 300mile return trip was well worth it
1st on my list when the time comes round again

I must add that customer service have changed 180deg from my first visit.... those guys are on very good track

Thanks guys for the feedback, it's very much appreciated.
We don't confess to always being the cheapest (although we try), however we will always be honest and upfront and ensure that we do everything that we say we will do.

That's not my experience.....
Went in to Park Royal to look at D4 HSE, in particular trim colours and seats. They didn't have an HSE but did have an XS, asked a salesperson what the difference in the leather was from XS to HSE and he had no idea. He went off and found another guy who said that the premium leather in the HSE was the same a the RRS leather and showed me the perforated cooled seats!!!!!!!! I wish!
They also didn't know whether electric seats was possible on models below HSE... 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

That sounds very strange?
I would like to follow this up. Could you possibly drop me a PM with when you visited, confirm that it was Park Royal, definately a member of the sales team, name etc? Our sales team has 35+ years combined experience (the shortest being 3 years experience) with the brand. I cannot think of anyone within the sales team who couldn't tell you the answers to those exact questions and more.......... confused
I do apologise and will certainly find out what went on and report back.

PS. The RRS seats are not cooled, but I guess that was something that you were told on your visit?

Quick update:
I have located your details via the 'recruitment' section on your website, and established that you visited us in October. The person that dealt with you was indeed a Sales Executive at Park Royal, who joined us in August. They have since left the company after a very short spell with us!
Clearly we lost your business on this occasion, and were not able to provide the correct answers at the time. Please be assured that this was a blip, and that the sad fact is that there are 7 other people in the team that could have answered you quickly and accurately and would have been keen to get another forum member into a CHPR supplied LR.
Again I apologise, and as you can see from the above this issue is unlikely to crop up again with the current team.
