Question about LR005213 seat covers ~ fitting
Hi,
Just aquired a pair of genuine LR005213 seat covers for the D3.
Both covers are identical i.e. not handed and each has a slit several inches long in the side of the seat back rest part.
What is this slit for, thought it was for Airbag but if so it would need to be on the drivers RH and passengers LH sides.
Only reason for asking is that they are positioned on the LH side of both seat covers and not mirror imaged.

slit is for the airbag and should be on the left for the LHS cover and the right for the RHS cover
if you have slits on the same side then you have a duplicate.
are the armrest covers ok, as they are left and right handed as well

you cant really see the slit in the pic but its just behind the safety beltDuncan

If youve got full leather watch out land rover did a recall on the covers as they were damaging the leather somehow I am sure there is a bulleting on the site somewhere

There should def be 2 different covers per pack
DO NOT FIT to seat without the air bag split, if you are unfortunate to have an accident then you will not have maximum protection

Look out for the plastic lining on the back of the seat covers becoming sticky. I have an 05 with cloth seats and the area where the base of the drivers back is has started to deteriorate and is sticking to the seats. The cover is 2 years old. For the price of them you would think they should last longer than that.
