This is the right weather for the D3

Well - I have a permanent smile on my face today. Having spent yesterday "working from home" and towed 7 people up from the bottom of my road (only 3 more today due to some thawing).

There's a small hill up to the main road and many people came down to the T at the bottom (where I live) and couldn't get back up.

At one point my 4 year old son was looking out of the window and complaining that there wasn't someone stuck any more so he could tow them up the road. Smile

Here's a nice photo of the D3 in action -

Right - I'm off to hose the road down with water, otherwise I'll be bored tomorrow Laughing

Finding a tow point on most 'euro boxes' is the biggest problem, usually have to faff around with the screw in towing eye that's buried in the spare wheel well!

absolutely - although after the third polo/golf derivative yesterday, I was able to do it in under two minutes Whistle

A long flat blade screwdriver helps when removing the plastic trim on the front nearside to find the socket for the towing eye (and has now become part of my D3 in-car toolkit!)

The weather certainly has a strange effect on most 4x4 owners, suddenly we all become 'rescue rangers' and we are all like big kids with the best toy Laughing

i reckon martin needs to do a sticker "i've been rescued by 4x4"

they'd have to wear em proud in the car so that when the government and others tries to pick on us all again we can "remind" of the time when.... Very Happy
