Look at this!

Drove from Junction 18 on M6 to Stafford services this morning at a steady 56mph on cruise control. Did not have to accelerate or decelerate at all, no wind. This is about as close to laborotary conditions that I could imagine, except for a few up hill bits. Then again, for every uphill, there is a downhill I suppose. But anyway, its a nice number to see.

The whole day average today for a trip to Birmingham and back has been 25.6mpg, so it is improving as the miles go on. (3000 now)

I have to add that I reset the computer trip after I had reached 56mph cruise speed, so this figure takes out the fuel used to accelerate to this speed. It initialy read 43mpg, but dropped to this over the journey.

I'm sure that the scientists among us will rip this to bits, but hey, diesel has dropped to 80p per litre now, so whats the problem Laughing

Excellent... I get 27.9 MPG running from Shropshire to London Via M5, M42, M40.

Includes a bit of foot down work too (otherwise I get bored) but mainly at 70 on cruise control when the motorway loonies have thinned out a bit.

I got my Diesel at Sainsbury's today - and with 5p off voucher (weekly shop) came to 75p per litre Smile

Is yours Auto?

You need to have access to a hosting site to upload your images to. I am lucky, because I run a computer co, and we have lots of servers that I can access. Once you have your image/s on the web, you click the button on the top of the post screen that says Img (when you are typing a message, look below the SUBJECT line)

This then puts a html character in for you.

You then enter the url of your pictures on the web

You then click the Img button again at the end of the url.

This will make the message load the image from the web when it is viewed.

Same works for links by clicking the URL button, entering the URL then clicking the URL button again.

I am sure that there are some websites that will host your images for free, do a google search.

Sorry, now I'm showing off Razz

Thanks... I can use my free .mac account I get from work (work for Apple). Should be easy enough. Only issue I think is traffic getting the image mwy be limited. Will try.

Mines a manual S. Opted out of the company car thing and couldn't quite stretch to an SE.

Looks the same as your except I had the side rubbing strips added to protect the doors and to add a bit of flair to the car Wink

Great snow by the way. Lucky you. We had only a little.

Wish I had an SE though as I want to access the Setting Menu to change a few things. S'pose the dealer will have to hook up their kit to do it. Seems a bit mad though and a waste of their time.

I got an HSE bacause I wanted satnav, and I wanted leather. By the time I had added the cost of these to the SE, it was nearly HSE price, so I thought what the hell, If I im gonna do it - do it properly, its only money.

Fantastic white christmas in the Peak District, this was taken on Christmas Day at the top of the Goyt Valley near Buxton. The D3 was just about the only vehicle moving. Really Really good in the snow and ice.

Luck lad !

The leather in the new car is very nice ! Specially black.

So how do you find the heating ? Seems a bit weak to me but then its a large interior to heat up. The heated seats are great though are they not ?

The kids love em... either want to sit in row 3 or row 2 if they can use the seat heaters Wink

By the way... what kind of computer company do you run ?

I find the heating OK. Seats are great.

My co develops software for the leisure industry. mainly golf. We have a very popular golf handicapping package. We also do a lot of touch screen stuff for kiosks, and bar epos systems. Oh and nearly forgot, we also have a very simple access control system for membership clubs etc. We also run a website www.howdidido.co.uk If you are golfer you may find it interesting.

Ever thought of developing for the Mac ?

I can put you in touch with our developer relations ream if you have.

Not a golfer... but I can see the attraction - fresh air, corporate gossip, the bar.

Confused Very strange. I've just ordered an SE and it comes with leather and Satnav as standard. HSE comes with the off-road satnav £500 extra.

The other reason I got an HSE was that I managed to find one in my colour choice for immediate delivery. Ordered on 10th Nov , delivered on 29th.

I can't tell where your pic is, its a bit small, I guess that could be the Goyt Dam in the background?

Nice one. I've got a 12-14 week wait for my SE. I panicked when I read your post and thought I'd imagined those extras on the SE Shocked.

The pic is the Goyt Dam, great roads in the summer for a roadster.

The Peak District is great for winter snow. Is it snowing near you today?...it is here so you may be in luck again up in the hills Smile . What a crazy car...drivers go looking for bad weather rather than avoiding it Twisted Evil .
