Suspension Fault

Or as i like to call it my "Waiting 7 hours for the AA to arrive."day at work!!!

But seriously, travelling to work this morning i got an amber supsension fault appear on the dash followed shortly after by a red suspension fault and avery bumpy ride Big Cry

I stopped the car and done a quick reset(ignition key out until radio lights went out)

This appeared to work ok for about 20 minutes then the same happened again.i eventually pulled off the M8 at Renfrew and checked the car over.by this time the car was acting like a boat.i.e going into extended mode at back and access at the front, extended at rear right and access at front left.

[/note rear right wheel falling off!!!]

When the car was in extended mode i had alook behind the wheel and noticed some verdigry(dont know if this is how you spell it)on a small loom.

The loom was fixed behind the hub and infront of the axle, could this be the suspension sensor loom and does the park brake also use this loom?

I ask this as i get intermittant park brake faults and if this is the same loom then that would answer a few questions.

Nearly forgot to ask the important question,

Has anybody else had this type of fault and is it an expensive repair??

Thanks.

Just sounds like one of the height sensors has failed to me, not expensive and fairly common.

had a similar issue over christmas that was diagnised as a faulty / overcooked compressor. replaced the compressor and the fault was still there. turned out to be a loose "Banjo" fitting, where the air hose fitted into the suspension. tightened this and the problem went away. I now ahve two compressors!
