Out For A Drive

Decided to set the camera gear up on the Disco. Roof mounted bullet cam feeding into a JVC DV camcorder. Bought an inverter yesterday, so decided to run the cam off mains power as well.

Works a treat. Now, all i need to suss is why I'm getting breaks in the sound between tracks?
It plays fine all the way through (music), but once uploaded back to the PC, there are some gaps in the sound.

Just been using Windows Movie Maker. What's everyone else using for editing their cam work with?

Anyway, not the greatest, but I'll fumble my way through it.

Err, and excuse the lens being wiped, forgot camera was still running. Embarassed

I'm no Pro but use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. Was on v6 for ages then just before christmas Amazon had an offer and bought version 9 for £29.97 but back up to £58 now. Works for me and the new version does blu ray as well as DVD.

Just looked at the video and looks like Media player doesn't de-interlace either as there's a lot of jaggied edges on movement there too?

where's the bulletcam mounted - at the front of the roof? I have my roof mount at the rear and I think the roof of the car impinges a bit on the image (one of the reasons I persist with the dash mount) - today's activities in the Peak District would have been much better captured if my bulletcam had been running)

Yes, just over the passengers side about 12" from the edge. As you see, just catching the bonnet of the car.

I've got a dash, screen mount coming for the bullet cam, also have a single suction cup mount for mounting to the side of the vehicle.

Just got one of these to try.
