Wondered if any one out there has had a seat re trimmed. I have found a D 3 for sale with in budget but it got 2 faults 1 is cruise control which sound fixable after reading posts but drivers seat has split in the leather, looks like the owner was a big chap I cant seem to find any other problems with it. I would like to know how much cash i need to get it fixed.

You can buy a replacement cover from Landrover and have it fitted, job done.

Neil is correct, I saw both of them last weekend. Both look lik a decent job. Andy got his covers for a bargin price, so worth doing if you can get them as cheap as he did. D3 HSE MY05 Auto

Welcome bp, is it split on the seat area or the back part?
If its the part then that is only held in with a few screws so might be easy enough to order a new part and replace it yourself A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

From memory, I think a LR seat base for drivers side is £170.00. Fitting it probably 60 minutes.
Worth e-mailing TLO (site sponsor from Yeovil Land Rover) for a discounted price.

Thanks for responses armed with new info went to barter with the seller but no joy as he would only come down in price by knocking off the warranty... The D5 will be out by the time I get hold of a D3
