Sturgess Leicester Safety Recall

My Disco was due for the brake servo safety recall.

Sturgess picked up the car at 7.45 a.m., and returned it by 11.30 a.m.

In addition to the safety recall work, it had another warranty issue sorted. (Information display was constantly scrolling time, range, mpg etc.) My absolutely filthy motor which had been out shooting over Christmas and New Year full of muddy dogs and people, plus all the recent snow muck, came back gleaming and even the inside had had some attention with a vacuum, with mats removed and cleaned.

How's that for service?

I've ordered a Disco 4 from Sturgess for delivery in March.

John

Hi I also had break recall, also had other warranty issues to look at as well as a steering wheel swap. However i was asked when i needed the car back and when i said by lunchtime (3.5hours min) was told that would cover the recall!!! Upon pointing out the letter stated 2 hours was told "thats in an ideal world!!!!" I'm sure you will all agree that it is far from an ideal world with the prices these stealers like to charge!!! Oh and it came back just as dirty as it went in. BMW have the edge on customer care in the midlands!

I rate Sturgess as well. Much better than $trat$tone up in Nottingham for service.

Lived in Leicestershire until 2 years ago, and Sturgess was my local, but in their old premesis before they moved snugly in with their Jag franchise. Always found the parts guys to be top notch, and very helpful indeed, but the service department was the worst service I ever recieved from anywhere I've ever been, and on several occasions too, so it wasn't like they were just having a bad day or anything.

I had to argue every single warranty issue to the death, and only when I got LR head office involved did they bow to their superiors and get the work done, and on one occasion I had cause to walk straight out of the service dept and directly into the office of the dealer principle, who agreed with my complaint.

Worst servicing place ever. Would never use them again, except for parts.

Guy salmon sheffield, the wife dropped the car off on time, was asked if she would like to be dropped off at meadowhall for a bit of R&R Ladies style, she declined bless her, got car back in 50 mins granted still mucky but she was in a rush.

Oh and fixed a height sensor which was apparently faulty, not that i'd noticed.

top marks for GS.
