Results of last Service trip
Thought I'd post the results of my last service (prob my last post as the D3 is up for sale).
Results of 33k's worth of gentle driving:
Replacement of hydrabushes
Replacement of ball joints
Replacement of front diff
When I heard this I thought to myself - what the!!! - apparently the ball joints and hydrabushes are known to wear quickly but the service guy mentioned that the front diff issue was caused by the wrong oil being put in at the factory....replaced under warranty but apparently would have been a $3500 fix otherwise.
Something to think about if you start to see a leak from the front diff.

To be honest I have no idea - I didn't even know that it was leaking as there wasn't anything on the garage floor, the service guy told me that wasn't out of the ordinary as there's only 800ml of oil in the front diff anyway so any sign of a leakage is probably bad news.

Have just replaced lower front ball joints too, is a wheel alignment required?

I had one as I had some new tyres put on but I couldn't tell you if its mandatory.
