Rear Wiper Blade

Where do you get yours from? Can I get a generic blade from Halfords or does it have to be a genuine Land Rover one?

There is not (or wasn't last year) the correct fitment from Halfords, but you can make it fit by filing the inside of the plastic clip, to allow the wider arm to clip into place. did it on mine, it took about 20mins.

I did buy one from Halfords but it's not worth the fiddle as I ended up buying an LR wiper from my local LR dealer and it only cost £2 more. The Halfords one got chucked in the bin having given up trying to modify it. One of those cost saving trips to Halfords that ended up costing me more in the long run.

Aero Blade Wiper

I fitted one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...K:MEWNX:IT

It was a tad fiddly but didn't require any filing or cutting. I just had to remove part of the attachment clip and fit that to the wiper arm before fitting the rest of the wiper.

If anyone is interested I'll take some photos.

Go here:

http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Valeo_X...lades.html

About half-way down the page you will find a rear wiper blade for the Disco 3 at £5.99.

I have one, and it works a treat.

I bought a set of Halfords ones about two months ago, they are now in the bin, utter Censored , just not clearing the screens properly. Resorted to genuine ones from Nick, last set lasted over two years rather than 2 months.

I understand that speeding.co.uk are selling about 30 sets a day on recommendation from this forum, which shows how many people must use it. I hope they are making a contribution to Martin, I don't see them as a site sponsor Wink

Mine are also coming up for replacement but am (as usual Laughing ) somehow unclear on parts from speeding:

This seems to be the rear wiper in question: http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Valeo_X...html#a1560

But also this seems to be the rear wiper (part no UM665): http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Valeo_X...html#a4561

No clue which is the correct part number for the fronts though Confused

Any help from those who have bought them from said supplier?

Cheers!

If you click 'add to cart' on the 1st link you posted you'll get the correct rear (non Valeo) blade in your cart.

UM665 is the reference number for the fronts
