@grzesiul

well I've been looking around for similar quality and protection but so far
haven't found any aftermarket solution that is comparable (e.g. combination with underbody protection plate)
Prospeed elite is still in development process....

would be kind of you to share your secret source with us .....

Cheers
Sebastian

I'm interested in the RS ones, really nice kit, but they aint gonna be cheap!!

@biskit

Uncle Ray hasn't any tubing to make the tree sliders as he cannot get any at the right price.

@grzesiul

The ones available in the UK do not cover from the sill to the chassis rail like the RS ones.

Maybe there is an opening for someone in the UK! Whistle

I'd really like to get some tree sliders for my D4 but I suspect those will be waaay out of my price range looking at the US price for them.

DcNexus,

If Prospeed are coming up with a similar bit of kit I might hang on for theirs after seeing Ents rack, really nice stuff and they are only a few miles up the road from me so I can save on delivery. Thumbs Up

@luvbus

well thats what I thought as well....last time I spoke to them they told me their sliders would
be ready by late summer....
and you're right lots of shipping and taxes to be saved
the ones from Rock Specialties are up until today the best I've seen so far

Cheers

I wonder if there was a group buy for the ones that Ray makes, would there then be enough demand to use up the minimum amout of material that Ray needs to buy to get a sensible price - assuming he feels like making that number of things up at the one time, that is.

@Navigator,

The Rover Specialist rock/tree sliders the OP is talking about are quite different to the ones Uncle Ray & 'other' UK suppliers fabricate as they cover a large part of the underside of the car along with the compressor & tank. Also as they bridge the sill to the chassis they prevent the sill twisting & allow the use of a hi-lift jack.

They are very similar to the ones navydevildoc made:-

If any of the UK suppliers were to do something similar I would certainly have a set. I did toy with the idea of modifying some RLD ones with some captive nuts and then fabricate some removable skid plates to go from sill to chassis but as yet Ray's are not available. Thumbs Up

exactly....
that is the point about rock/tree sliders
(not only sill protection) but a jackable sill and underbody protection!!!
