Its only worth what people are prepared to pay.
For the fortunate few, £50k isn't a big deal.

It was just that it was advertised as a GS, having seen how someone has upgraded A D3 to look like a D4 you never know even if that 'looks like' an HSE.
I was at a dealers today and there were loads of cars about, I would say mostly FL2, then Disco 3's, but also incl ex demo D4's for sale, the forecourt was chocka block.
I had a very good look around a D4 HSE, but with children there is no way i would personally spend that money on what I saw, it is not designed for kids with the shiny ready to be scratched alloy around the rear door handles, it did look nice but would you really hammer that off road and get in and out soaking wet and covered in mud, or would you rather have a GS and a nice Merc E320 or S Class for cruising in? I have gone for the latter option although I love the driving position of the Disco and could drive that all day
I have just spent 4 days in the Merc and it was so nice to get back in the Disco today!

GS does it all for me and my family, and with the bright pack and power mirrors does everything I need for a daily runner. Oh and nearly £20k cheaper!! With the 20k i haven`t spent it means I can keep me evo X as a toy!! Cars:-MY11 Evoque SD4 Pure, MY12 Defender 90 XS & MY08 Evo X RS

I picked up my D4 XS on Sunday and have done nearly 1000 miles in it - absolutely love it. I would sleep in the back if the wife would let me . Anyway, whilst at the dealers the sales man advised that demand is so high at the moment that i could sell it immediately for more than what i paid. In fact, somebody had seen my car at the dealers and wanted to make an offer to purchase it - not a cat in hell's chance.

I've had to go for a stornoway hse instead of my desired nara bronze due to no build date coming through for march. The dealer has informed me that demand is three times what landrover was expecting - though i'm not sure if this was just sales talk Hopefully will get my car for the 10th of march

Sock - out of interest, when did you order?
D3 in for service today, was chatting to sales they say D4 lead time is May delivery, which puts it the wrong side of £750 road tax for my liking (wife wants to upgrade... I want to lay down in a dark room when I think about costs)

I initially ordered a Nara Bronze/Black HSE with 20" full size spare and heated steering wheel. I've had to take one of two HSE's that they had coming in which was Stornoway Grey with Black interior, tinted rear and towbar are the extras.

Ah, so you took a car they had pre-ordered, not had to wait for factory?
Just trying to understand lead times.
Feeling I will be insulted by their D4 price and insulted by D3 trade in value so it won't happen but there you go.
