My new Disco 3, if only I could drive it! |
|
Hi all well I have dad my car 3 weeks now, noticed it was leaking oil on the drive! So checked the oil, what oil not a drop was showing!!
Called local LR dealer told me to call LR assistance, came out said it had lost about 3.5Ltr of oil! Put some more in & got my wife to drive it to the local dealer, all very helpfull so far!
This was Wednesday, call up to get up date Thursday no one calls back, Friday get told that it is in bits & they can not fined the leak!Get a call to day Saturday & it turners out they have not had a look at it yet!!
So after work to day I will be driving up to Yorkshire not in my nice new car but a not so nice Mondeo!
I have to say I was warned about LR being unreliable & poor service from the dealers, which is all looking all too true!
All said & done I do love the car, but having gone from a Merc E class that never gave any problem, well what have I let my self in for?

freeflytim thank for that always thought I was special 8)
Up date got a call yesterday (after yet more chasing )
Car is all done picked it up late yesterday great to have it back!
Still not been told any more than it was a oil seal!! (well that was not too hard to guess!)
Gave it it's first wash last night, even dropping it down to access height still had a job to clean it! Who uses a step ladder to clean there disco then?

Hopefully it was only some sort of oil seal that initiated you to the Land Rover club.
Yeah, its tall... I park mine in 4x4 mode so if someone breaks a window to get in they better have brought a step ladder!! Wa Hoo

How tall are you then Freeflytim because our theives could get into a skyscraper I am sure. They are so intelligent, they would let down the tyres to reach If you raise the car, be careful they may get in from underneath So its a no win situation.
