Hi Guys,
I have a problem that i thought was fixed (twice). I seem to be getting a seat belt charm that goes off whenever it wants to and for no apparent reason. The dealer thought it was a faulty passenger seat sensor. It has been changed twice and yesterday it went off again 3 times, each time a quick beep and no fault recorded on the dash.
Has anyone else experienced this before and know what is causing this to happen.
I don't think the guys in service have any idea as to what the fault is, i think they may come back with a don't know response.
Any help is appreciated on this one.

If you plug the seatbelt in and out 9 times in quick succession, you lose the chime (although the red light will still appear on the dash display)
Can't think why it's coming on unless you ahve something on the passenger seat when it does it? Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks Bodsy, it happens when people are sitting, also when nothing on the seat, its just completely irregular, its going to be hard to pinpoint thats for sure, unless someone has experienced the exact same thing.

Happens when people are sitting AND they have the seatbelt on?
Could be a connector or a wire that has rubbed somewhere. But then it does it when you have nothing on the seat too.....?
Still not sure, but the noise will go away if you do the 9 seatbelt thing. Bodsys Brake Bible

Sounds like it could be a bad connection. Rapid intermittent circuit starting and stopping the chime at odd times. I am assuming the light comes on the dash at the same time. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

nope no light on the dash, its like it doesn't have a chance to register through the dash, but makes the chime.

Why do you think it is the seat belt chime? Could be connected with the keys in ignition (door closing sensor?) or another warning chime. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Ask them to check if there were any fault codes logged. If they checked after the service they would have cleared them. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
