OBD reader in Gloucester / Cheltenham area

Hi,

The D4 is giving an intermittent fault which says that 'normal ride height only is available'. I might swing by Greyhill and get Jon to diagnose, but is there anyone in the Gloucester / Cheltenham area with a diagnostic tool (my Autel one doesn't show anything) who can help me to work out what's up?

Thanks

Andrew

I’ve not got that kind of money, they’re a few hundred arent they? Was hoping someone local might be able to lend me use of theirs For a quick plug in. It’s intermittent so noT the end of the world. if it’s something I can swap out myself. I’d like to do that.

You're welcome to plug mine in if you want a trip to North Wilts / South Glos. I'm near Marshfield.

Thanks Moo. Good ice cream that, It's on the way to my folks in Semington, but as I haven't seen them in a year, that probably won't be any time soon.

I see that the compressors last around 10 years before giving up the ghost. It's probably due a new one by now. Has anyone done this job, can you recommend it as a DIY?

The cheapest I've seen the Hitachi unit is around £330 from Autodoc

First thing I would check is for air leaks. You can do this with soapy water on all the pipes and connectors, starting around the compressor. I was able to cheaply fix mine earlier this year as I had a leak that was an easy fix.

Regards,
Steve
