Tackled a particularly tricky mod this morning.
Tried to get hold of thr legend TFC to help but he was doing his hair so decided to try it on my own.
Having never attempted anything so complicated on my D3 I was a bit apprehensive but I needn't have worried.
Armed with my new parts courtesy of TLO I opened the passenger door trembling with nervousness at what i was about to do.
I lifted out the dirty old cupholders and slotted in the new squishy type perfectly first time.
Job done.
Didn't even need my mole grips Welcome "Lola"

you promised you would not go public on how you tackled this
i sold you the parts with the strict understanding that you would get a competent person to tackle this mod.
you do realise you could have invalidated your warrnty by doing it yourself
think of all those starving trained techs you have just put out of a job.
i hope you can sleep at night TLO has left the building.......

Please tell me you are doing a "How To" document or follow up post to share with us all. After all, Sharing knowledge and experience is what this forum is really all about.
I, like TLO, realize only to well that you are putting some people out of a job, but as Spock said in his Kyobiashu Maru solution, "sometimes the needs of the few are outweighed by the needs of the many".
Please don't tell me i am the only Trekkie on here
Please also detail relevant part numbers and cost.
I am sure and hopeful that TLO will be receptive of many orders for such.
I may well be noted for upgrading my ICE to the Max, and added all swiveling lights on difficult and dark corners and added PDC beeping, that stops me backing into the abyss (or walls in the case of SWMBO), and I have applied a BAS remap all on my own that now makes my D3 go like a rocket sled on steroids. But all of this but highlights that i have yet to stop my shaver from rattling around in my dirty old cup holders. Ohhhh how i long for something more accepting and accommodating in this respect.
Quite frankly therefore, i am understandably quite in awe as to your degree of knowledge and ability to do that which i could not. Like so many had never heard of CCF, i had hither too equally not heard of squishy cup holders before now either.
Live long and prosper BCC

This gives me an idea, I think I might just ring my local stealer in the morning and get a quote for the above job. Would be an interesting comparison acrooss the country to see what the highest quote would be.
And before anyone moans about wasting dealers time I have got these ready to be fitted, I tried to fit them but as the force of gravity wasn't enough to push them fully home I gave up. No doubt they have been paid to fit them in to RRS's already.

Gary, glad to see you've stopped with the pointless posts 8) .
You never said how long and how many coffee / cigar breaks were required or how long you discussed "going it alone" with SWMBO before you started

Well Wozzer, and you might have to sit down when you read thus, but it only took one coffee and one cigar whilst pondering the challenge ahead of me, and, I did it all by myself with no help whatsoever.
So, put that in ya pipe and smoke it Welcome "Lola"
