Just noted the following post http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic46360.html in For Sale & Wanted which seems to indicate that on the D3 it was possible to connect external sources to the front screen eg cameras, DVD etc.
Anyone know if this also works with the D4? and if so is it the same cables?, and how many spare inputs are there? If a DVD can input to the screen, would this be the means of playing back iPod videos on the screen

My D4 has an auxiliary video input in the back of the centre console as standard 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

Er.......well I am pretty sure there is a yellow composite video input.......I would go and check but my D4 is at the dealer where it spends a lot of time........got a 2009 RRS HSE from Enterprise at the moment, beats the crappy assed Focus from the stealers!!! 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

Car is back and I have checked there are two aux inputs and there is composite video and stereo audio all on rca sockets. 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

I haven't seen the D4 screen, but I believe the D4 screen to be broadly similar to the Fl2 screen, which also has the same connectors.

Lift off the trim in front of the screen remove the two screws pull off the trim around the centre console/clock/knobs remove the side console trim panels both left and right side pull out the clock module disconnect the wiring harness remove the four screws around the touch screen withdraw with care and disconnect the five connectors.
Simples.

I'd love to get a video input for iPod/iPhone/DVD but that does sound daunting for someone cack-handed like me. Will watch this thread with interest to see if someone manages to get it running (and if it works in motion!)

Yes I have RSE and the connectors are under the little flap above the rear cup holders on the back of the centre console. I'll try and get a picture. 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE
