DONE Farnborough to Luxembourg |
|
I'm looking to get a half-rack over from the UK (Farnborough, just off the M3) to Luxembourg or some point near by. Size of rack is length - 170cm; width - 140cm
Seeing as it is ski season, would there be some opportunities? Could be at the end of your ski holiday...
Or anyone have ideas ? Suggestions/estimates for a paid courier service that is not going to cost silly money ?
I haven't purchased the rack just yet - this post is to see about feasibility as couriering is part of the decision and therefore gives some time to set something up.
Here's hoping... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

My office is near Farnborough John, can probably drop it somewhere but unfortunately, not going to Lux in the near future. Welcome "Lola"

Now this could work.
I'll speak with Ian (who has the rack) and see what options there are for wrapping.
Neil - would this courier pick up from Farnborough or would I still need to get it to you? The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

But that was some wheels on a roof rack...not the roof rack itself... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Bumping this up on the off chance someone else can offer a possibility.
A couple of options have been looked at but this time around they either won't work or will come out at the same cost as a "regular" courier - so thanks Neil and Dave for trying
(I have a feeling I'm looking at DHL... ) The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Mrs NJF not able to help? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Seeing as Mr NJF hasn't posted....maybe that gives you a clue... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Best I could do would be Chalon-en-Champagne on Friday 12th Feb around 2:30pm I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Al - now that could be an option. Chalon-en-Champagne is 2 hours from Lux. I'll need to see about getting out of the office early on that Friday. Let me check and I'll let you know ASAP.

I could possibly strap it on my rack and can come back via Lux in 3 weeks time, if Nodosh can't do.
