Disco 4 prices in Cyprus.

Just for interest, I priced up the Disco 4 here in Cyprus today.
The model has never been imported into Cyprus yet, to my knowledge, even D3's are quite rare, but the RRS is quite commonly imported and there are quite a few 2010 models here already. The RRS is a stock item at the dealers where a D4 would need to be a special order.

It actually took quite a bit of effort to even get just the D4 prices, EG the local dealer could not give me any, so i had to go to the groups head quarters and specially request them a couple of days back. I also got the FFRR prices too. They are in Euro so i have converted and displayed them in GBP using XE.com. All prices do include VAT at 15%, although typically there is another 2000 Euro, (1800 GBP) registration fee and another 500 Euro (500 GBP) for 12 months road tax that is added on to these prices.

TDV6 3.0 SE Auto = 67,636
TDV6 3.0 HSE Auto = 72,475
V8 5.0 SE Auto = 97,651
V8 5.0 HSE Auto = 102,131

There are some options for the SE that are standard on the HSE, such as
Premium ICE = 1,024
Premium Nav = 2,736
6 Speed Auto = 1,814
19 Inch alloys with 55 tyres = 1,429
Total = 5574
meaning you save about 2500 if you go for the HSE's

The FFRR prices are
TDV8 HSE = 107,471
TDV8 Vogue = 115,131
TDV8 Vogue SE = 125,372
TDV8 Autobiography = 133,400
5.0 V8 Supercharged = 153,986

They seem to be charging for things i got as standard on the XS here in the UK, i got the 6 Speed Auto, 19" wheels as standard, The nav was updated with your MSV2 as you know to show the 4x4 info screen Very Happy and the ICE im unsure of.

Still a lot of money for a D4 in your country Sad

The duties here are scandalous, but believe it or not they have vastly improved to be only 50% of what they were only a couple of years back. Shocked Shocked Shocked

Good thinking Shrinky, however the duties are applicable to all imports too.

A couple of years back i bought my D3 from the UK, at about 17K GBP. It was an uber base spec ex lease job and really was the cheapest D3 in the UK. By the time it was landed, in my hands and all duties, taxes and shipping paid for, i was out by about 36K. It would have de valued to low 30's by now, except that i have upgraded it so much.

Seriously, it would cost me a whole lot less to buy a new D4 in the UK, strip it to bits, import the bits in a container and effectively re build my existing D3 with them.
If you think my ICE upgrade post was impressive, just give me half a chance and the right bits and i will happily post up a how to on turning a D3 into a D4.

I will of course be keeping my eye out for the first accident damaged / breaking D4's but if anyone comes across one, or for that matter a 2010 FFRR please do let me know Thumbs Up
