Hi Guys,
just wondering if anyone came across this problem with 05 D3 SE: the nearside headlamp (xenon) does not seem to dim and is constantly on full beam even when the offside lamp is dimmed. It is causing problems for opposing drivers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, LLoyd.

isnt this caused by the shutter not moving?
I'm sure I've seen this fault talked about on here - have you done a search?

Al
sounds like sticking shutter. Basically the Xenon light changes between low and highbeam with a shutter in front of the lightbulb (or whatever that is called for Xenon). Had the same on my car and a little knock on the light resolved the issue. From that point on I have build up the routine to flash my XENON lights from time to time in the Garage (like once a week) and that seems to have completely cured the sticking issue.
Good luck with your light
