Discovery 4 commercial engine choice

can anybody shed some light on a problem for me.

I am about to order 3 commercial disco 4's from our local stealer but am being told that the disco 4 commercial is not available in the new twin turbo 3.0 litre model. apparently L/R are only offering the commercial as a 2.7 tdv6.

My first thought were that we could have ordered the disco 4 as an automatic so we should get the 3.0 litre but williams L/R are telling me that they can only order the 2.7.

I was hoping to get the 3.0 litre, but it appears that L/R are wanting to run down the 2.7 so are forcing you down that route by not offering the 3.0, bit naff really considering the car is over £2000 dearer than the previous disco 3.

Lakeland can supply you one.

They will convert a normal one before its registered etc. They get it dvla inspected so its a van on the V5.

Deffo not a van on the V5, it stays as a passanger car so you pay the higher road tax. I know cause I bought JMC's commercialised D3. Thumbs Up

I can confirm if you buy from lakeland they can register it as a van with dvla prior to registering it so it will be a van, thus lower tax.

plus the service is first class Thumbs Up Bow down

Davey, are you hoping to get your commercial with a 3.0 lt. engine? Ordered mine on 27th Feb, delivery is now 21st June with 2.7 lt. engine.
Regards George.
