New to the Forum (bloody fantastic by the way) but just wanted to post an acknowledgement of great service from Matthew Gurney, one of the Landrover Salesman at Lookers Park Royal. I live in Jersey and have just popped across to the Big Apple to take delivery of a used Disco3.
The dealership was great because they facilitated the purchase through the Personal Export Scheme which means I did not have to pay the VAT as I was exporting the vehicle straight to Jersey (not in the EC for VAT reasons). Matthew had not heard of the scheme prior to me phoning him up but he perservered and processed the necessary paper work that allowed me to do it.
Thanks Lookers (and Matt) for the service and I wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone wishing to buy a Landrover; especially if they are from the Channel Islands and don't want to get ripped off by the local dealerships.

Many thanks for your business Flub, and thank you for the feedback. The VAT issue took a little while to get straight our side, but at least we know the process in the future.
I am on holiday at the moment, therefore it is nice to know that you've been looked after whilst I'm away.
