Well, having had it for 6 weeks now (HSE 3.0) What can I say? Absolutely love it and is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned!

Yep, looks mighty fine chegers
Not jealous much
I cant help thinking that looking at your auto gearlever knob - it could do with with being shoved further down the stem. It looks higher than in my D3 thats all
It could be dsigned that way of course. Below are pictures just to show the difference to yours from an old D3 and the current one

Well I agree with the OP, and I've driven a somewhat varied collection over the years
- D4 (current)
- D3
- BMW 520D Touring (current)
- Citroen C8 2.2HDi
- BMW 320 coupe
- Lexus IS200
- Omega 2.2
- Megane Scenic
- D1
- Peugeot 309
- 109" SIII
- Fiat Panda
- Vauxhall Chevette
The D4 is most comfortable I've ever had on a long run, it's a better 7 seater than the C8, and the new engine/transmission/suspension setup is just superb, such an improvement over the (already good) D3. Sure, it's not as quick as the BMW in the corners, but just for the sheer driving pleasure, I'll take the D4 instead of the 520 every time

I am very impressed when I see that you have a BMW 5 Touring and that you prefer your D4 !
I don't regret then to leave mine (even if the 530 XD is just a fantastic car ...but I need bigger for my job ...)
I am also impressed when you say that the 7 seats are more comfortable than in a C8 ! Good news also !
What about consumption (real, not from the too optimistic trip computer ) . I read very different figures, and also
different mpg between an all new engine and the same after 2000 miles ...
What did you experience ?Disco 4 SDV6 HSE nara bronze

VOLVO XC 70 163 cv

I dont work for Berghaus The pic with the cups harks back to a 2007 thread when peeps were looking for cups that went in the cupholders well. Hence my display to demonstrate the cups in a veriety of views Just happened that I thought the pic was relevant due to the gearstick length.
The OP has not confirmed if his shaft is intentionally longer
I do have a drink problem
Sorry, very very off topic Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:
