DISCO4/LR4 Seats and AC

I was curious about how comfortable the seats for the LR4 were through the summer. I'm a little surprised Land Rover doesn't offer perforated leather, and the last vehicle I had without it made my back sweat. Any input is appreciated.

The Middle-Easterners would have even more comment that I would about this, but here in West Oz, I commonly see 46 deg C (115 deg F) and very bright sun. I had one bout of fingers burned from touching hot surfaces like door handles (note to self: wear driving gloves in the summer), but the seats are pretty good leather and haven't seen it as a problem ever. I've had other cars with cheap, slick, shiny leather and they were buttwetters. My D3's seats were tan and had enough texture to them that they weren't noticeably hot. The rear a/c is very helpful to cool the entire interior down. What works even better here is a good windshield/windscreen reflector to keep the heat off the steering wheel and seats when parked.

I spent some time in El Paso, TX... very similar temps and my current vehicle (MSP6) did just fine. One thing that really helps is that I can roll the windows down using the key fob before I get into the car. Does the LR4 have that feature?

Yep, you can open the windows from the remote. But remember that it's built in the UK and most of the time we're lucky to break 46F let alone 46C so it's probably not high on the list Wink (I'm in the warmer south of the country and mid-May, we're still got the central heating on morning and evening!)
