VOICE RECOGNITION - DOES IT WORK ? |
|
I have an HSE with Voice Recognition. At least the 5th vehicle I have had and I have never been able to make any of them work and understand what I am saying - I have tried talking slower, different accents etc but they rarely manage to actually switch anything I want. Does anyone else have a problem or should I see a speech therapist ? Defender 110 Double Cab XS

I use mine all the time without problems. Perhaps you need to move 'up't north' for a bit and inject a bit of yorkshire dialect

It's 8 O'clock.
TBH I never use it. Just use the buttons as I can't remember what the specific voice commands are. I did have a play initially and it did work. I think its still at the gimmick stage and has some way to go. I use a parrot for phone connectivity and that is useful being able to say who to call.

Try doing it in a Brummie accent. Or Bangalore (coming soon).
Linguatronic is brilliant in my Merc ML350. Don't need to use a German accent or anything. Seems very keen on Poland as a destination for some reason, though.
cheers

No didn't get the lights, I think that is something I might regret later.
I never thought about the lights when I ordered it, and the dealer never offered them as an option. Discovery 4 XS

Thanks. I've only had it two days, think I'll wait a little bit before I start taking it to bits, but thanks for the offer and I may come back to you.
I have the Voice activated, Tow pac fitted, 4x4 screen activated. What is Alarm Chirp? Discovery 4 XS

Nps re waiting for taking it to bits its understandable and i respect your decision.
Unlike me who picked my car up from the dealers drove it 4 miles to my workshop and had it is bits in seconds then beat it into a corner untill it submited with 2 computers connected to it for nearly 3 months finding out what make it tick. Each to there own though
The alarm: When you press your fob to lock and unlock the car, the alarm chirps 1x or 2x depending on if locking or unlocking.
