Well done!
Lead times do appear to be a bit shorter at the moment. Possibly after the 'rush' to get 10 plates.
Does June mean late June? Still, that would appear to be only 10 weeks away...

I did think about the full size spare wheel, but I don’t get many tyre puncture in the past. Besides I will get an extra set of wheel for use in the Alps.
But I am thinking to add side steps for the kids, are they worth having Any drawbacks

Hi
I recently put some side steps on mine and they are very useful for my small eldery mother who would othewise need to be lifted into the car. I should think they woiuld be useful for kids but probably not essential as children are usually quite agile and able to jump in and out. The other time I find them very useful is whan I am parked in a tight space (quite common given the width of the car) and need to squeeze myself out of a barely open door.
Other than in the above circumstances, for someone of normal size and mobility, I would say that they make getting out of the car slightly more dificult as I tend to step over them and brush my trousers on the edge. (Maybe I need to learn a new way to get out of the car )
Others here have said they can help prevent parking dings on your paintwork - no experience of this yet.
If you intend lots of off-roading then they may get in the way. (until you knock them off!)
Either way you'll love you new car
Richard
Ps
I'd definitely recommend a f/s spare

I had them on my D3 and after they got trashed off roading, I removed them. I actually found strapping the kids into the car seat easier without as you get that little bit closer to the car.
I also whacked my shins twice when I slipped off the side steps whilst sorting the kids out.
I don't miss them. My kids now 6 & 8 but where about 5 & 7 when I 'removed' the steps. TDV6 HSE Lux (2014MY)
TDV6 HSE (2006MY - owned for 9 years and 150,000! - now replaced)

TVR Chimaera 450

I've been advised last week by the stealer, LR is now building the 2011MY , hence the Buckingham Blue that I chose now been replaced by the Baltic Blue, the expected delivery date is the 2nd week of July. Can't wait.

I've been quoted a September delivery for 2011MY, and a 3% price increase along with the £750 first year RFL
Still to have confirmed the spec changes, if any!
