Check the switch under the divers side bonnet catch. See if it is seated properly and not broken. You can then try to adjust the rubber stopper by screwing it in the allow it to catch.
Or just get the dealer to fit a new switch. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Yep me too.
We did some dev work seeing if we coud wake up a sleeping FBH and so needed to fool the D3 into thinking the bonnet was shut when it was not, by closing just the latch. However an assistant tried to close the bonnet a few times by slamming it ever harder without realising it.
I pulled the switch out which just unclips off the bottom of the latch and saw that the spring plate which should be in a gentle curve was flattened
spent some time trying to get it bent right, not then knowing what it should look like, but it seemed that the microswitch was a bit stiffer than it should be and the whole thing was caked in crap, so i slung it to one side ordered a new one and stuck a paper clip in the contacts to stop the car moaning about it.

Just had the same on mine too. New switch from TLO now sorted.
Cheap & easy to fix.
Odd thing is, the old switch appeared to work OK when tested with a multimeter off the car, new one fixed the problem though.Clive

Thanks guys, fantastic. I had a bit of a fiddle with the switch as described and it now shows bonnet closed and allows me to lock the car. Only problem is i am 450 klm from dealer so these little things that seem to be an easy fix ..........

follow up, ..... over normal road conditions, the switch comes on and off at will. I have put some tape under it and secured it as it moves around a little and this has stopped it flicking on and off. Have it booked in to be fixed next week.Discovery 4 the greatest 4wd on the planet. LandRover the worst customer service imaginable. Do you have to put up with one to experience the other?
