BAS map, any in SA?
Being stuck down here in "Slummies", I unfortunately don't get to attend tea parties or have access to Badens Faultmate services and tunes etc. So have paid my money and am awaiting the arrival of my faultmate. Once all set up am very keen on the BAS tune that can be loaded via the faultmate. Interested to know if anyone in SA is running a BAS tune and would care to comment. One concern I have is how does it cope with our fuel here in SA. Most of the time I run on 50ppm from Shell or Sasol, but at times and in the sticks it is not available and then have to revert to the 500ppm.

Not cheap at all but, hopefully with what it can do it will pay for itself over time.

I bought the Nanocom for my Td5. I will also order the Faultman for the D3 - I see this as "standard recovery gear" when in Africa - small price to pay to check faults and correct it.
Tell us what the tax is once you received it.

Hi
I have tuned many diesel cars in SA through my friend in Durban so fuel should not be a problem.
Ive also sold many BAS remap interfaces over your way again with no problems.
Or WAYNE 4X4 TECHNOLOGIES has sold many TD5 tunes with no problems.
Of course if the fuel you get is that bad it affect the car in standard tune it would also in tuned form.

2010-04-16 WP-BLACKBOX SOLUTI LIMAS R 8,942.09- Credit card.
Unfortunately it has still not arrived, parcel was lying in Europe for a four days, waiting for the air to clear, is at least on the move now and the last tracking I got on it, it has made it to Heathrow. So here's hoping it is on a flight south soon. Was hoping to get it before the weekend. As am doing four trails in four days this coming weekend but that not going to happen now. volcano!!

Pretty sure Pete's D3 map will be very good. I have a mate with his BAS remap on the Defender Puma who is very impressed.
Bearman - don't stress about the fuel. If you can't get 50ppm it's no problem, but both my RRS and D3 run noticeably better on the Sasol ULS 50. Less smoke, better economy, more whoooosh!

Customs Vat 490.14
Admin fee 165.00

TBH I find the lack of support on the 2009 very disappointing . Various issues have been reported by both myself and Baben , with no resolution to date . Some of the options just don't work like they're supposed to

Oh, I forgot to mention on the earlier post, I have a BAS remap on my D3. It works well and no chance of losing the remap due to a dealer reflash.
