I asked this same question from my dealer, got quite an honest answer.................They get a Rebated discount annually on LR Vehicle turnover.
Seems a genuine answer I guess

I have been told by a friend who owns a business and has 8 LRs so is now a "fleet customer"........I dont think it would be right to divulge the exact figure but it is a hell of a lot

Impossible to work on 10% with their overheads.
That is a stock answer for all punters, i believe it's nearer 30/40%

Why ask the question in the first place, if you know the answer?
Anyone here will be guessing; no dealer principle is likely to answer, unless Gerald Ratner is now running a dealership. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

it all depends on a points type system. ie my dealer would have to spend £250k to change their showroom to comply with LR branding. they cant afford to do that so dont get as many points which means they get less discount. Duncan

I'm reminded of a story I heard on the AMOC about a U.S. film star, possibly Rock Hudson, visiting the Aston factory in the
60s with David Brown, the then owner of the company.
At the end of the visit, Rock turns to Mr Brown to thank him and says "I'd like to buy one, but I'll only pay cost price".
"That's extremely kind of you, Mr Hudson", comes the reply "Most of our customers pay considerably less." Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Brilliant! 30-40%..... a fantastic assumption!
I am fairly sure that the motor industry as a whole is still trying to break through the 2% profit against turnover mark. That isn't a concept that many Bank Managers would support!!
