Hi guys
Just want to let you know that my "small" and "cheap" Faultmate FCR arrived yesterday. May I just say to Colin from Black Box Solutions  
What is a bit worrying, is that I have NO faults, the car has not seen a dealer in 6 months and I have NO faults
A real must have at the price 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Lucky you don't have a 2009 - some of the modules have issues and Black Box seems to have moved on , as nothing is being updated .....

Because we have your MSV2 available and to our dispossal
Just wanted something to take into the bush to read and clear faults when on the move and also to check stealers on the fault codes.

Dunno about the FCR but yes there are certain things that don't work on the MSV2 , for example setting nav on the go , disabling rear PDC , clearing untested codes etc. All have been reported at various times , but so far no fixes

My firs question in Disco3.co.uk site 
Is it possible to get an OBD2 to USB cable and download something somewhere that will give a Laptop the same functionality as say a Faultmate MSV2?
If not, why not?
I am a prospective owner, will get a Disco next year if all works out. I am used to Land Rover, and have enough knowledge to DIY lots of stuff. The thing that makes me fearful is this electrics. Bus, loom, CAM, sensor, brake light making the compressor act funny etc.
