Testing the water.......
Have uuuhmed and aaahed about selling the D3 a few times because of work when self-employed, cash-flow and that and again find myself at a crossroads as took a perm job for security reasons and will be getting a company car with it. Likely to go for a boring/tax efficient diesel mundane hatch or such like just for the 100 mile round commute.
Can't really justify keeping a comparatively expensive D3 sat on the drive as well but want my own wheels as well (guess the current missus will want to get about as well, can't always assume she'll take the bus..... ).
Looked at part-exxing for a nearly new Merc' cabrio and got a good price offered for the D3 (£20.5k) but still had to add a shed-load of cash towards the 'new' motor. Feel I'd be better off going without a part-ex if I'm going away from the brand/type of car and really I only want to spend about £12-13k on my own car (can get a lot of car still for that sort of dosh).
Looked to downsize to an FL2 but thought the prices being asked were ridiculously high for something I perceive as "not as good as a D3", if the price was right I would have one as quite like them but not through a part-ex deal at a LR dealer I won't.
So anyone got a car they are selling while looking for a D3, cash my way. Would consider anything really; nice cabrio, something bit sporty/fun, an FL2, maybe even a late D2. Preferably diesel, more than likely auto and of a decent trim level? Think around the £20k mark is fair for mine.
Mine is an 07/07 TDV6 XS auto, 44k miles, couple of pics in my gallery. Full LRSH, LR warranty till end March '11, tax/MOT Jan '11. Just had EGR sorted under warranty (and better for it!!!). More details on request

have been offered £18800 in a part ex deal with a Mercedes dealer.
The Merc' price becomes a bit more 'fluid' to the tune of another grand if I don't part ex.
Anybody interested in my D3 at the price offered in part ex?
Will also be asking my local dealer if they will make an offer to buy it outright.

astonbuilders D3 for sale
astonbuilder,
I have just bought my first D3, I got it from Andrew at Nene Overland in Peterborough, and am very pleased with the car and Nene Overland (pics to follow when I figure out how to do it). Andrew was talking about expanding the car sales part of the busines, and I did see an advert in the LRO from them asking for Land Rovers, including Discos. May be worth a call.

Got stitched up a few years ago by Nene Overland on a Defender I bought from them.
In my opinion a highly dishonourable man.
I hope he's changed

jum649,
I'm sorry to hear that, I can only go off my contact with them. Up to now, I have had no problems; they sorted out a noisy EPB no quibbles. Time will tell.
