Hmmm. I assumed it just sat in the hole on the nearside when you took the flap thing off. am I missing something?

Mines got a strap round it that seems to do the job, not sure how secure it would stay on a prolonged dirt road though

Perhaps I'll just leave it in the garage. I'm not sure I will unexpectantly need to tow something.

Mine's sat in the front room waiting to be fitted if you want to see one before you buy.
PM me if you want.

Fitting instructions can be found at:
http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com
Search for "towbar stowage" under: Discovery 3/LR3 - Accessory Fitting Instructions
The instructions are for the 7-seater but it should be easier if you don't have them.

Having looked at the instructions, I think it will definately live in the garage.
Thanks all

It is very simple to fit no need to remove the side panel as suggested in the instructions. Got mine from TLO for a great price. It means I have always got my tow bar without leaving it on the car to get nicked. Also nice and safe for passangers as it wont turn into a killing machine in an accident.

Maybe on the cars third visit to the dealers in the last few weeks I may persuade them to fit it for free by way of compensation for me about so much.
