Off-roading Experience North Devon KEYPITTS

My wife and I recently spent a load of money on a day out off-roading with the Land Rover Experience down in South Devon.

We spent a few hours in total in a 110 Defender. The vehicle was mint, so we knew the off-roading wasn't going to be that challenging. An enjoyable day, but not very difficult.

We then decided to give a local off-road experience a go. It is called Keypitts www.keypitts.com in Ilfracombe and spent £35 each to take a 300Tdi Discovery out on a course that was absolutely un-bl&&dy-believable! It was a fantastic experience and didn't realise that a Disco could actually do what it did!

The course covered the majority of the farm and the owner wasn't bothered if you were going to put a slight scratch on the paintwork, which gave you the confidence to do stuff that you wouldn't normally do!

It has enabled me to have the confidence in taking my own 300Tdi off-roading and the lessons learnt from Keypitts (not Land Rover Experience) was used to good effect. I can honestly say it's the best £35 I spent and I will be going back in the near future. He did say that he could tailor an off-roading experience to my own requirements, so I may take him up on that.

The chap that took us out was called Fred.
Cheers TPH

I forgot to mention. He is a bit of a Land Rover freak. Although he's not a member on here he has a variety of Land Rovers including a Disco 3 HSE!

Falklands. 1 place I've getting to for the last 20yrs. But it seems as I move jobs the unit I've just left then goes or the unit I go to has just come back. With less than 6 months left I can now safely cross it off the things to do list Crying or Very sad

Falklands off-roading - simply un-bl**dy-believable! I took a standard manual 300Tdi Disco out and it performed faultlessly off-road, keeping up with all the 90s and 110s.

There are quite a few Disco 3s out there and I saw a few Disco 4s.
