Leather Steering Wheel
Having fitted my leather gearknob (from TLO) using the most excellent guide of the MacLeod, I want to change to a leather steering wheel. Is there a guide on how to do this? I've changed steering wheels before on other cars which has meant removing the airbag unit etc. Just wondering if it is a straightforward job.

really straight forward. There's a good detailed post on here with pics somewhere. But essentially, make hook (from coat hanger) pop out air bag, withdraw airbag & disconnect, note location, unbolt, transfer switches etc over & do it all again backwards. Job done. I'm pretty ham fisted & I managed it in about 30 mins.56 HSE

Dont forget to disconnect the battery and give the car time to discharge etc. otherwise you'll set the airbag off. Not done it myself but plenty of others have (changed the wheel that is, not set the airbag off)D3 HSE MY05 Auto
