Suspension failure default to road height

Much headscratching over this one, fault code showed the sensor behind front bumper faulty. Independent suggested checking the connections as he had experience with poorly sealed connectors playing up. This did not fix fault so new sensor was fitted this also did not fix fault so I suggested electrical engineer check in more depth he found no output from suspension controller and suggested had blown due to short from sensor. replacement fitted to no effect, at which time I suggested that he check wiring loom, that showed short somewhere in the depths of loom so 2 new wires fitted to bypass fault and all was well. If you have this problem get electrical engineer to thoroughly check wiring before fitting any parts
