Tdv6 starts then shut down after a few seconds. PLEASE HELP

Hi I have a problem with my Discovery 3 2005 Tdv6 auto and been sitting for a few months now, the battery was drained flat by leaving the ignition lefted on for a few hours. Put a new one in and I'm having faults, system voltage low, DC/DC converter fault and control box fan circuit. The glow plug come on five times and the temp gauge flicks with the glow light. It's starts for 5 seconds and shut down. No one here on St Helena Island can fixes this problem, so it will be grateful if I can get some expert help. Thanks

You’ve fitted a new battery ?
What about a hard reset?
Have you access to diagnostics to clear codes?
Metal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)
LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)
Sunroof drain pipes both sides 2.5 hrs)
Rear discs, shoes, pads, callipers, flexi hoses, rigid brake line, n/s upper hub carrier bush and rear n/s upper arm (13hrs over 2 days)

Hi Daz thanks for your reply. The battery is approx a year old and fully charged,it turns the engine over very quickly and is much better than the old battery which still did not have these problems. It happened after the battery went flat after not being used for a few weeks.I have a hawkeye code reader to clear the dtc's but have not done a hard reset.I did find water on the bulkhead below the control box's behind the battery. After dropping down the cover on the transfer case module the one with the 3 plugs I found corrosion and furring on two of the plugs. After a through clean the problem is the same.

Sounds like you’ve found the issue being water, I’d move the battery out and check all connections behind the battery. Wd40 to drive the water out

After doing some more research a Land rover specialist on its website is saying they are seeing the exact symptoms more frequently. They are pointing to the Integrated transfer case module having either failed or needs an update to its programme. This is the unit on mine which had the corrosion on the contacts.

Hey friend, mine does the really exact same thing. Did you get it running again? Mine is a 2004 TDV6.

Thank you!

For future reference for people who search.

I had the same thing on my mates disco 3 after battery went flat.

Glow light flashes 5 times. You can hear a clicking noise from the transmission every time the glow plug light comes on. Starts and dies.

Faulty engine ECU. Had to replace it. Decided to go for a ECU kit off eBay. Needed engine ECU, instrument cluster and BCU. Then coded the rest of the modules up to the replacement vin using SDD
