| Broken down in france at the week end 3 tow trucks later |

 Been away for summer holiday to atlantic coast in france for 2 weeks with caravan
Set of on saturday from camp site at 9am with 500 mile drive to calais about 8 hour drive.
Two hours in to drive on cruise at 70mph on peage motorway lost of power and ENGINE SYSTEMS FAULT ON DISPLAY.
Pulled over and called LRA asked were i was what motorway.
Told LRA were i was and the reply was sorry can help you you must call 17 from motorway phone because the peage have there own breakdown trucks.
So i keeped driveing until i got to the next services which was 10 mins which took me 1 hour at 30mph.
Phoned 17 on the phone and 30mins later a small break down van turned up and said tow truck.
Towtruck turned up towed D4 and caravan to small garage miles from any were in the country side.
Tow company said 280 euros please for tow of motorway.Called LRA who paid.
Sat and waited 2 hours phone call from LRA we are going to fly you all home back to kent all 7 of you and we are sending taxis to pick you up and we will get the car fixed and fly you back when fixed.
Two hours gone by no taxis phoned again and change of plan we have sent a tow truck 300 miles with 7 seat car on the back down from st malo.
Drove french car up to st malo and car followed on towtruck.
Over night stay in 5 star hotel and then on all day boat st malo to portsmouth.
Got in to portsmouth at 6pm and phone call from enterprise please meet at booking in office we got you a car to travel home.
Picked up car only 5 seats so sent wife of with kids and sat for another hour and waited for another car to turn up.
Then still no tow truck from portsmouth to home watied 4 hours from 6pm to 10pm for the AA to turn up and tow car home.
Car went in to dealer monday back by tuesday am software upgrade.
What a  ending to a great holiday.
All paid by LRA no cost to me only two days late home and a big phone bill.
