ProSpeed Off Road - specialist parts and servicing
Hello all,
I thought it best to start this thread with a short description / history of the company. We started life as a motorsport company some 8 years ago. We have spent most of those 8 years competing in national rally championships around the world and the World Rally Championship. Having spent a lot of time designing, fabricating and machining our own components we thought it was time to start our own line of on road and off road components for various vehicles. One vehicle we were particularly keen to design and manufacture parts for was the Discovery 3 - it has so much potential and versatility on and off road, yet there are comparatively few manufacturers out there producing a good array of upgrades / parts for them.
We also provide servicing and diagnostics for the Discovery 3, 4 and Range Rover Sport, along with specialist tyres (on and off road), and all our products carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Having recently become a proud sponsor of the DISCO4.COM forum, we are really looking forward to working with you all to get some really great products out there for the Discovery 3 and 4.
I will be updating / visiting this thread as often as possible to keep everyone up to date with what is happening at our end, and answer any questions people may have.
Great to have you onboard Olly. Look forward to seeing your products The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Ah ha,
Funny you should mention forum discount!
Yes we are going to be offering a members discount system, just working out the best way to make it work with our new shop which we are constructing.

Welcome Prospeed and Olly to the forum. Good to hear that you're now sponsors and can start filling us in on some of your products
I've been following your website for a few weeks - some great products but the fact I can't find prices anywhere has worried me.
I look forward to reading some more info and the results of the testing you're currently doing.

I knew I should've made it more expensive!!!!!
No, only joking. We are really committed to making good quality, British Made products at sensible prices.

Don't get me wrong Olly, the price point you have chosen is almost in Frontrunner territory and that, for me, is too expensive....
I'm not ready to buy yet, but will be putting this on my xmas list (although it may be Xmas 2010 ).
I'm looking forward to hearing about the endurance testing you've been carrying out. A great idea would be to 'lend' a rack to one of the chaps from here for use during a hardcore expedition as we would trust their honest reviews.....

Hi PaulP,
We have been as keen as we can with our price point, and you are right, it isn't a cheap rack. But I'm confident it compares favourably price wise. We manufacture to what we hope is a very high standard, and our quality control is very tight - all tube batches are tracked, and all machining, fabrication and powder coating is signed off individually. We also leave no stone unturned during the design process - using everything at our disposal to ensure a quality product.
We will be arranging a test rack to do the rounds within the first batch produced. It will be great to get it out there into the discerning users hands to see how it is received.
We've been testing it for the last two months, off road and on, with over 200 kgs loaded on it.
We have also had it on a repetitive test, overloaded, for the equivalent of 650 hours of pretty rough off road use on the computer. It performed well, with no fatigue at all.
I should also point out actually, that the rack carries our Lifetime Warranty as well.
I'm glad we have been able to tempt you to save though.
