| Main Beam "Fill In" Lights Upgrade |

Before Xmas I bought a pair of Osram Night Breaker Plus H7 lamps (Hids4U again). I eventually got around to fitting these yesterday as the weather was mild for a change.
As I have adaptive Bi-Xenons these were bought to be fitted to the "fill in" (that's what the handbook calls them anyway) headlamps. These look like the main beam units on non-xenon fitted cars.
Anyway, the end effect has been pretty good. It's a bit difficult to describe but they do indeed seem to "fill in" a lot better. I took them down some dark country lanes and the near hedge and around is much better illuminated and there is an all round better view. The Xenons still provide a great distance penetration but it's less like driving down a bright tunnel. I guess that's why they are called "fill in" then. I suspect this would really help off-road, though haven't tried that 
Colour is not Xenon white - it's warmer but still whiter than regular halogen (e.g. the cornering lights). But the effect is quite acceptable and even improves the blend with cornering lights.
As I say, a bit hard to describe but I think a well worthwhile < £30 cost.
[As a side observation, I was driving along some windy back lanes to test these and the combined Xenon and these driving lamps are so bright that it was difficult to see the loom of the lights of approaching vehicles over the hedgerows. Also, the penetrating power of the Xenons was so good that several times I thought another car was coming whereas it was the Xenons illuminating a hedge on an approaching tight bend several hundred yards off. So, all up, I think that means it's chucking a lot of light down. Rather unlike the guy driving behind me for about 50 miles on the M4 on Friday evening who only had his side lights on...]

I swapped mine for 50w Hids  massive improvement I can resist everything except TEMPTATION

I was thinking about upgrading my fog light bulbs but the hid LED ones say "not road legal".
Any suggestions? d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack
D3 with the following
Alive Tuning EGR blanking kit

These are the H7 type and not LEDs (i.e. upgraded Halogen and thus completely legal). There are alternatives such as Philips on hids4u too. Pays yer money and takes yer choice etc.
I did think about the HID upgrades but has actually bought these beforehand. They are, of course, quite a bit more and perhaps not strictly legal but I'd imagine you can knock owls out the sky with that lot.
And, as for pics, I totally agree but it will take quite a bit of work to set up car on a suitable wall, ensure I get a comparable photo with same exposure and then take the front off the car twice to switch bulbs in the dark and cold. On balance, too much hassle - sorry
