Suspension fault 5 days after warranty expires |
|
3yrs & 20000 without any major problems then yesterday just 5 days after the warranty expires the yellow suspension warning light pops up & I get the following warnings. Suspension fault - vehicle raising slowly and vehicle will raise when system has cooled down.
I also noticed that when I try to raise the car to its highest setting only the rear wheels are raising, the fronts remain where they are.
Wifey reported that while she was driving it today the same messages appeared then all of sudden the front of the car seemed to drop down, whole car began shuddering & it slowed down to a crawl.
I've read up on the various threads regarding suspension faults but I need a bit of advice before I begin taking care of the problem. Does it sound like the compressor failing or the ride height sensors?
Assuming it is the compressor (seems most likely to me) what is the approx price for replacing? Also seeing as its just 5 days out of warranty how flexible would LR dealer be regarding this?

D4/D3 Remote FBH heat kits
BAS Remaps/ EGR Blank
Transmission Flush
Software updates/enabling
Clock/ SNOTM /3Flash / 4x4Info /BT Update /Service Reset/Error Codes / Gearbox Reset

Hi zen123
Yes I had a similar problem with our D3.
There's only one person I know, who knows the answers and will point you in the right direction.
Call Len Rankin - hes the service manager at Guy Salmon LR dealer in Coventry - there's not much that hes does'nt know about D3's
And as LR HQ in Coventry is within a stones throw from him, I know from experience they use his workshops - got to be the best in the country and state of the art equipment.
He sorted my problem out within a week.
PS - Len Rankin's number: 02476 839500
Hope this helps.
Best of luck
